With Safety being the most important factor for many MICE and Leisure travel organisers these days it may be interesting to know that Iceland was found to be the safest country in the world in a recent study by The Institute of Economics and Peace (IEP)
\nIn an article from Travel & Leisure magazine they commented:
\n \u201cThe Institute of Economics and Peace (IEP) just released its 10th edition of the Global Peace Index, revealing the countries with the fewest threats to personal safety. The study analyzes 24 factors, including violent crime, political terror, weapons import and export, and prison population. Iceland came in at No. 1 for the sixth year in a row, having received a nearly perfect score with a GPI of 1.192. Also worth noting: the nation is the only NATO member without a standing army.\u201d <\/p>\n
